New Beach Body Workouts!

I am excited about some of the new workouts that Beach body is coming out with!  I love to do workout videos.  It just seems to work best for me, or it's the easiest way for me to get a workout in during Tanner's nap:)
Shaun T's Focus T 25 and it sounds like it is going to be really awesome!  You only need to spend 25 min a day on the workout, but it is intense.  I think I could do it though if I knew I only had to do it for 25 minutes instead of most workouts that are an hour long.

Here is the link to get to the page to purchase this new workout

Shuan T is a busy man these days!  He also has another workout that is out called The Asylum volume 2.  Can I just say that I love Shaun T!  He is so motivating and funny, so it is fun to do his workout videos.  So this workout is for athletes who want to be faster, stronger and just all around better than their competition.  It is a 30 day program made up of 7 workouts.  The nice thing is the workouts range in time, so some days you don't have to work more than 30 minutes.  If you want to be a better athlete this is the workout for you.

Asylum Volume 2 Workout: Championship and Fit Test
I have done P90X and I love the Kenpo workout where you punch and kick a lot.  It doesn't really feel like you are working out because it's so fun, so I am really excited about this next one.  It's called Combat by Les Mills.  After I read this on their website I was sold.
"BURN UP TO 1,000 CALORIES PER HOUR.
You'll be doing Karate/Kung Fu, Capoeira, Jiu Jitsu, Muay Thai/Kickboxing, Tae Kwon Do and Boxing—all in a single workout—and burning up to 1,000 calories per hour!"

The last one that I want to tell you about is all about your booty:)  Brazil Butt Lift Master Series is a super way to get your butt in shape... literally!

The triangle training method works the 3 major butt muscles and makes your butt ready for bathing suit season.  If you are worried about your booty here is the link:

Way Behind!

Ok I have a lot to catch up on!  I need to tell you about the rest of my time in Vegas and Thanksgiving.  So my mom took me to a Zumba class that one of the wardhurchs in her stake does twice a week at the church.  I wasn't expecting it to be that great, but it really was awesome and so much fun!!  I loved it!  I need to learn some of the routines... I guess that's what you would call them and do them with my ward.  it is so much easier to have a set time to work out with friends!

Tanner was worn out from all the Zumba so Grandma is giving him a drink:)

Leyla came to visit and she loves to hold Tanner... he is like her own little doll:)

They are both adorable!

So when I was in Vegas I got to go back to the theater and see my wonderful theater teacher Ms. Phenix!  It was so fun to be back and to talk about all the funny things that have happened in that theater.  They are currently working on the musical The Music Man and I had a fun time being there and helping them out with the show while I was there.  My mom is amazing and still helps with costumes even though none of her kids are in high school anymore... She is such a good example to me:)

Even Tanner enjoyed himself in the theater:)

Last time we went to visit my great grandma Tanner found a way to do pull ups with her walker.  Haha!  It was so funny because he was really doing pull ups, no joke!

So my Mom was in charge of the turkey for Thanksgiving and she wanted me to learn how to make it, but I was really having a hard time with pulling out the disgustingness that is inside it.  It was cold, wet and ugghh, but I got out some of it and then my Dad had to come rescue ua and get out the neck that was still frozen to the inside... Do people actually eat those things on the inside, or is it just a nice thing to sell the bird with all its parts?

It was a great Thanksgiving feast with all the good stuff.  It was really nice to see our families and they were happy to see Tanner.  Craig and I are not as important anymore:)

To Grandmothers house we go and diet update

After Church we always go to visit my great grandmother on my mom's side.  She loves to see Tanner and he does really well when she wants to hold him.  I get nervous because she is frail and I don't want him to be too heavy for her.

I love Tanner's face in this one:)

This one is sweet

Then after that we went over to Grandma and Grandpa Ferrell's house and we had a good visit with them.  It was nice to see them and catch up.

We are planning to go see our other set of grandparents tomorrow for family home evening.  I am so lucky that I still have my grandparents around to share my life with.

So if anyone is interested in the diet I am doing and how it's going, here it is.

From Monday to Tuesday I lost 4, yes 4 whole pounds!
Tuesday to Wednesday I lost 2 pounds.
Wednesday to Thursday 1 pound
and Thursday to Friday 0 pounds.
That makes the total for the week 7 pounds:)  Yay!

So I am trying to this diet pretty close to the way that I read it so Saturday was my cheat day and I did what I was told to do and I ate all the things that are bad for me:) haha it was awesome, but not gonna lie my tummy hurt and I don't think will have a big problem with cravings until my next cheat day.  Today when I weighed myself I had gained 3 pounds but that was less than I expected because what I read says that women can gain about 10 pounds after cheat day but expect to be back to normal by Tuesday and losing again.  I guess cheat day is there to help you jump start your metabolism, so I hope it works.  I will keep you posted on the weight this week and we shall see if this diet is everything it's cracked up to be.

Ok I can't be done yet because while I was doing this post my cute little Tanner decided to try to eat the jumper that my high school theatre teacher let me borrow ( Thanks Ms. Phenix!!)  Then he kinda got his head stuck, so I had to hurry and snap this picture before I rescued him... is that wrong?  He will thank me for the awesome picture someday, so I guess it's ok.  Love you Tanner!!

Tanner is in love with a Chili:)

Vegas has been great so far!  We have done lots of visiting and playing with the grandparents and even friends, but we still have more people to visit, so don't worry if we haven't seen you yet cause we will!  Tanner is missing his jumperoo so bad, so my dad is the jumperoo for now, but he gets tired a little more quickly:)

We went and visited Ky, Drew and Luke this week and it was so much fun to see them!  I always feel like no time has passed when I get together with Ky cause she is so fun to talk to and be with.  Luke is getting big and I can't believe that she is going to be a mommy of two soon!  Luke was super cute with Tanner and they are friends already.

After our trip to the Burton's house we went over to see Grandma and Grandpa Pickett and that was a blast!  Well... Tanner was a bit upset for a while because he was having a little constipation problem.  Grandma took care of him though and she fixed it by giving him a ritz cracker to chew on:)  Happy as a clam after that!

He got pretty tired when he was eating his bottle and I think that his hands covering his face are cute.  He has always loved to have his hands up by his face, but sometimes I fear that he will hurt himself because he tends to scratch his face... It's just his thing.  He likes to scratch everything around him haha!  I just have to make sure his nails are always nice and trimmed:)

I flew here and I could only bring a 40 pound bag for the both of our stuff, so I didn't have much room to bring toys.  I found some fun stuffed animals and this silly chili in my sister's room and he loves it!  Thanks Tey for the toy! P.S you might not get it back because he is attached:)

Uncle Bubba and soon to be Aunt Karyssa came home this weekend!  We had the BYU girls lacrosse team staying with us one night, so Bubba got to sleep in my room with Tanner and I slept with my mom ( my dad was on a camping trip).  Bubba was on binki duty and I was kind of nervous about leaving him to this responsibility, but I think it was actually one of the best nights of sleep that Tanner has had this week!  Nice job Uncle Bubba!

The best thing that happened all week was getting to see Craig today!!! He had a layover in Vegas before he headed back to San Jose, so we met him at the airport and took him to Macayos ( if you are from Vegas you know about Macayos and all it's wonderfulness) before we had to say good bye.  It was so fun to see him and it was needed because now we won't see him for about a week and a half.  Tanner loves his Daddy!

Great week:)  I am excited for the weeks to come because the holidays are so soon and it will be a lot of fun to celebrate them with Tanner!  Hope everyone is doing great!  Call me if you are in Vegas and you have time to hang out with us:)

Grandma is in heaven

My mom is so excited to have her grand-baby here!  We have all had so much fun hanging out, but I get the feeling everyone is more excited to see Tanner than they are to see me:) I guess that's what happens when your son is super cute!

My mom got to feed him solid food for his second time yesterday and he loved it!  We fed him sweet potatoes and my Dad has a long standing hatred for sweet potatoes, so when we told him what he ate he grabbed him and said, " I am so sorry!  I will not let them feed you those disgusting things anymore"!  But let's be honest, he loved them:)

My Favorite dessert of all time... Cheesecake!!

Since Craig and I are not gonna be together for a while we decided to go on a really special date on Friday night, so we went to Cheesecake factory!  Yum!  It was a lot of fun because we played 20 questions throughout the meal and it was fun just to hang out with my man:)

It was dark in there, so the camera is a little bright:)

This looks healthy right haha!  It was yummy though!

We also got cheesecake, but I forgot to take the picture because... well... we ate it! Dang we will have to go again:)  Thanks for the fun date night honey!

New phones

Halloween was a lot of fun yesterday!  Craig got out of work early and we went to his office for their Halloween party.  They had something fun on every floor like yummy food, movies and more food:)  Tanner got dressed up in his cute Giraffe outfit again, but this time it made him a little sweaty since we were inside.

We decided to go to Little Cesears for a 5 dollar pizza, but after trying two different locations and them telling us it was going to be a 30 min wait we decided to change our plans and get Subway instead.  It turned out to be a great Halloween dinner and I quite enjoyed my black forest ham sub.  After dinner we called my parents on Skype so that they could see their cute grandson in his costume!  He is getting so big, but they will get to see him this weekend because Tanner and I are flying to Vegas on Saturday and we are staying until Craig comes to get us for Thanksgiving.  It will be fun, but we will miss Craig/Daddy:)

We carved pumpkins on Tuesday and I have to say that Craig is getting pretty fast with his carving abilities.  I decided to go for something a little more traditional like triangles haha! I am happy about how it looks in the dark.

But then in the light I think Craig's wins...

So Craig and I had upgrades on our phones so we decided to get the Galaxy s2 and I have really liked it so far.  We were all ready to get Iphones, but in every store we went to the people that worked there said the galaxys were the better phones... I have no idea since this is my first smartphone, but so far it has been really convenient and I am loving it.

The only problem is when I try to take a picture of my baby and it's dark, so I have to use the flash...

Poor guy, it's a little too bright:)
Well Vegas friends I am excited to see you soon!

Baby Great! Tummy... not so much!

So I have had Tanner for 6 1/2 months now and he is awesome, but this tummy that I still have is not so awesome, so I thought I would post and see if anyone has any good tips, or tricks that they have used after having a baby that helps.  I think at this point I am willing to try anything.  I have been working out at least 4 times a week, so I know I can do better with that, but maybe what I am doing (insanity) isn't going to help.  I feel really good after the work out and I feel like I worked super hard, but I see no change.  I guess I could do better with eating, but lately I feel like the only thing that helps is not eating at all, which is dumb because I really love food:)  So friends give me something and I will try it and post my results!

Holidays are Here!

This is one of the best times of the year because all of the holidays are coming up!  This past week we went to a couple Halloween parties and it was so much fun to dress Tanner up in his giraffe costume.  I really wanted to dress up as a family, but I did not think we would be able to think of something to go with a little giraffe.  Luckily I have an awesome husband and he thought that we could be a couple on a safari and we could be taking pictures of the little giraffe:)  We went to Savers and had a really fun time picking out our costumes and I think that they turned out better than I had hoped.

Well we can't continue without mentioning the awesome pumpkin that Craig made this year.  I love that when he sets his mind to something he does it all out.  The first time we made Easter eggs together I did not realize what I was getting myself into.  He had the tape, floss and hair dryer out and I think I was done a couple of hours before him... he is awesome!  I remember last year when he made his pumpkin I actually went to bed and he came and woke me up to show me his pumpkin when he was finally finished.  That's my man!  I know that if I can get him into one of my projects it will turn out great because that's just how he is.  The tricky part is just getting him really to get into something.

Tanner did really well with his costume on his first Halloween and I think it kept him nice and warm.  He is a giraffe that likes to have a pacifier, but I think that all giraffes are like that right?
He is definitely starting to move around more and he gets restless when I hold him for long periods of time.  At church he really likes to sit on my lap with his head backwards so that he is looking upside down.  It is pretty funny.  He is so much fun and he is seriously so good!  I hope all my kids are like him, but I have been warned that they won't be:)

Things are going great here in California so far.  Our house is finally all put together and all the boxes are unpacked!  I will take some pictures and post them once my house is a little cleaner:)  It was a lot of fun because when we moved we didn't have any furniture, so we went on craigslist and found free stuff everyday to add to our furniture collection.  We spent a lot of time painting, sanding and staining in those first few weeks, but now that all the furniture is done I am so glad that we took the time to do it.

Our ward is awesome and it has been a lot of fun for me to get to know the girls here.  Everyone is so friendly and it makes the transition to a new place so much easier knowing that I have friends here to hang out with.  I am actually going back to Vegas for three weeks and I am sad to miss out on the fun things that will be going on here, but the grandparents miss their grand baby so off to Vegas we go on Saturday:)

Anybody else have any fun Halloween Parties?

Yay for Hot Chocolate!

I am excited to drink my hot chocolate as I type some new things that have happened lately.  Craig and I made it through January, so we are doing great and I can't wait until July when it will be warm haha! Craig is super-de-duper busy with his school and club volleyball schedule, but now that all the teams are formed hopefully things will be less stressful.  We are going to start a plyo camp with the older girls this week to help them get in shape and jumping higher, so that should be fun.  Craig is also really busy with the new business he just got into.  He and one of his old mission companions started a company called, "Picture Perfect Booths" and it is going to be so much fun.  We are excited to go to bridal fairs and other fun events, so if you need something fun for a party, or know someone getting married that would like a photo booth let us know:)  But of course they would have to live in Idaho, or maybe Utah.  Last week I got a calling to be a den mother in the wolf pack for boy scouts..... what the heck is a den mother and a wolf pack! Haha I was not expecting that at all, but hopefully it will be a lot of fun and I will learn how to make pine wood derby cars:)  One of my friends recently taught me how to make flowers and bows...like for your hair, flowers and bows and I am addicted!  It is so much fun and I have made like 14 of them already.  Too bad I don't have a little girl to use them on:)  School is going good and I am loving being able to actually be a part of the elementary classroom this year.  I have already been able to take over the classroom and teach some lessons, so if anyone needs to know about hyperboles, or alliteration you just let me know because I know all about it haha.  I am excited to be in charge of my own classroom everyday next semester.  Craig is a crazy person and he is taking 19 credits this semester, but he loves his classes because they are all in his major and he feels like he is learning things now that will actually be valuable for his career.  Well that's all that is new in our lives for now:)

A New Year!

This year I decided to start a blog to help me kind of keep a record of what Craig and I are up to.  So far things have been going great. I am in my Elementary Senior Practicum and should be doing my student teaching either in the spring, or the fall.  That means this is the year I will finish with school!  Yay!  It seems too good to be true. Craig just got the Head Varsity Coach at Madison High school and it keeps him super busy, but he really enjoys it.  I really like it too cause he lets me come and help him and it is fun to get to know the girls and be a part of their fun in volleyball.  Craig and I are really excited about the place that we are living this year because it has a club house with an indoor pool and hot tub.  It is my favorite thing to go to the hot tub when I am freezing in this Idaho weather.  It's not so bad though because last weekend we rented some sleds and went sledding! It was great!  There were some little kids going down this one hill and we decided to join them, but it turns out that the hill they were going down was extremely steep, so I only went down it like once haha!  They were brave little Idaho kids.  This year will be a lot of fun and we are excited to see what is in store for us!
